This took a few days to make this and it consists out of approx. 4k pieces, give or take a few. It's about 12 inches tall, which makes it the biggest 3D origami project I've ever taken on.
The Maneki Neko, or The Beckoning Cat, as some might know it as - is considered a lucky cat. The kanji on its belly means good fortune.
